    2010 - 09.21

The supposedly most powerful country in the world for the past several years has reluctantly allowed homos to serve in the military with the caveat that they don’t tell anyone they’re a homo. To my understanding the Don’t-Ask part has never been enforced.  Today, for a number reasons, in my opinion most of which were stupid, the opportunity to get this ludicrous law off the books failed.

The truth is, the gays are everywhere. At one time or another, most of us would have changed it if we could. We all basically want the same stuff as everyone else–to live a life of purpose and meaning; to use our talents to the best of our ability; to give of ourselves to the world around us; and to share life with someone we love.  Some of my brothers and sisters tried to do all of this while serving our great country.

Our country once again has said, “Thanks, but no thanks. You’re a homo.”

Today’s Gay Agenda: Drop a note to Senators Dorgan, Conrad, Franken and Klobuchar thanking them for their votes.
